Tony Scott-Remake besser als gedacht

Tony Scotts "Taking of Pelham 123"-Remake mit Denzel Washington und John Travolta bekommt überraschend positive Kritiken, nachdem der Internet-Buzz zuerst nach einem trashigen Rohrkrepierer klang. Peter Travers (Rolling Stone) schreibt von einem "first-class ride". Und auch Todd McCarthy (Variety) ist leicht begeistert: "More than anything a fascinating portrait of how much New York has changed in 35 years, the film delivers the goods in excitement and big-star charisma, with the contrasting low-key and cranked-up acting styles of Denzel Washington and John Travolta playing off one another nicely." Die Entführung der Pelham 123 startet bei uns am 13. August.
